Columbia University EMS provides free basic emergency medical treatment and transport for the Columbia University Morningside Heights campus. In case of emergency, dial x99 from any campus ROLM phone or 1-212-854-5555 . When calling, remain on the line until the operator tells you to hang up, and be sure to provide the location and nature of the emergency.
Special Events / Standby
Columbia University EMS provides emergency medical services for large athletic and recreational gatherings with extensive experience covering university-wide graduation ceremonies and football games. Pending availability of resources, Columbia University EMS may be contracted for a single event or a series of events. Prices will vary depending on the event's date, size, amount of allocated personnel, and available resources. For information, please contact Columbia University EMS's Executive Board.
Columbia University EMS is staffed by New York State-certified Emergency Medical Technicians and sponsors an on-campus EMT course run by various EMS education programs in the city. Classes start in the second or third week of the fall and spring semester, as well as during the first few weeks of the summer. All those interested in the on-campus EMT course should attend the information held at the beginning of each semester. The dates, times, and location of the semester's EMT course will be announced at the information session.
CPR / First Aid Training
